Teaching Profession Project
On Tuesday 26th March 2024, Lorraine travelled to St. Mary’s University College Belfast to record an online seminar as part of the Teaching Profession Project.
The recording was hosted by Geraldine Parks and featured a space for Lorraine and Shauna McGill, Ulster University, to share research, professional understandings, and practical experience,on the key issue of mathematical problem-solving and the importance of measuring problem-solving skills.
BEd3 preservice primary teachers from St. Mary’s are currently trialling the Mathscify materials whilst on school placement. Geraldine has developed a task “Pet Shelter” which can be found with the Applying and Problem-Solving” assessment resources.
